Followed the recipe from WildYeast's blog which requires a Starter (which if you have been following my post, I have nurtured my own!!). This recipe also requires a little planning as it is preferred that the rye bread be consumed the day after for the full flavour of the bread to develop.
Was quite happy the with the result except that it could have been less brown. Lesson learnt, never go out with the oven left on (even if you think it is for a few minutes). One can't anticipate unexpected events e.g. being stuck behind a garbage truck which then pushes your perfect timing and plans out of the window!!! Thank goodness M was around to save it otherwise, I may have ended up with a black brick!!

I enjoyed the bread with curry beef. It was also fantastic with butter and jam.I will definitely be making this bread again. Really enjoyed the texture and flavour. Actually I couldn't stop myself from savouring one slice after another. Bonus part is also being able to use the Starter! Great bread, thanks WildYeast.
