MOF @ Pavilion

Ever since I read about this place at masak-masak's blog, I knew I had to pay a visit. Btw, they actually laminated her write up which is available at the paying counter!!

As soon as we arrived at Pavilion, I gently directed our party made a beeline there (located next to Mercato Superermarket), for a quick but cold uplifting snack before we explore the place....so I tried to reason with DH.

I adore wagashi aka japanese sweets so this is was the perfect place for me. It proved to be a hard decision as there were too many choices. In the end we all decided to order something each and share. There were 3 of us but it was made a little difficult especially since Master Prince finally decided to have his own Strawberry soft serve - well, I suppose he was a good boy since he did let me have a taste test, the tiniest one though. Actually MP was rather excited as it was not very often he would have such a treat before lunch!! In fact he kept on asking me whether we could go back there, another time OK....too much sweets all at one go is not something I would advocate. *trying to be all responsible and everything, Ahem.*

DH picked the Macha Imoto which comes with a deep fried potatoes - one yam and the other sweet potato. It was good, we liked it alot, if only the ice cream didn't melt so fast! Good excuse to gobble up I suppose! Ha ha

I finally decided on a 'hot' dish (for contrast) and went for toasted omochi sprinkled with kinako. I recall having them in Japan years ago and really enjoyed them. These were nicely toasted, puffy and chewy.....just like I remembered them!! :) Yum, wished I ordered a side serve of the ice cream though - it was nice and creamy! *drooling at the thought of it*

We definitely scrapped the plate real clean!
It only took a couple of seconds before the plates were emptied & tummies satisfied....ha ha - it was hard to slow down and savour since we each wanted fighting to ensure we got our proper share!!

Only gripe I had was that they only have one branch located in KL....mgmt, pls consider having another outlet outside the city centre e.g. One-U or the Curve, I'm sure you'll be my favourite hangout then!!
