Quite a few months back, this recipe (tks HHB) was quite popular in the blog food forum. Curious, I too got into the band wagon. I have made this before in the BM and it came out great - really soft and fluffy bread. My family likes this alot. This time, I thought I try shaping it differently.
I decided to go for a braided look. The dough was very supple and easy to shape.
The original recipe recommends using a pull-man tin. I don't own one yet.....itching to own one. Since my baking cupboard is bursting with gadgets, it is wiser to make do with what I currently have.
Loaf out of the tin. Sadly, it was a little underbaked. But no worries, we toast it and it was fine!!!Actually I was too worried about the top turning brown too fast - that's why I thought it was done. Silly me!
Side note - if top is browning too fast, use foil to cover top. Important to bake it to full time!! I perfer it baked in the BM than in the oven. Less fuss and things to wash up. BUT it sure looks a lot prettier!
