Happy Birthday DAD.
Master Prince reminded me that birthdays must have cake. So as simple as you would like yours to be, we couldn’t let it slip by without some candle blowing antics accompanied with bad singing.
Chose to make this because Master Prince could help me bake it. In fact, he proved to be a very goodhelper baker indeed and mixed everything together including cutting up the dates. Great work MP *high-five*, give a year or two and you’ll probably be able to do it without supervision!!
Best of all it tasted good and was done in less than 2 hours including baking and cooling!!
Love this recipe, easy quick recipe and tasted great!! Definitely a keeper.
I should have taken the pictures of the main meal of hawker noodles but was too hungry to think properly. There will be other opportunities.
Side note 1 – should have dressed it up by drizzling some icing. But being simple andhealth tummy conscious people, will save that for another occasion.
Side note 2 – add a dash of cinnamon for extra flavour next time.
Side note 3 – remember to use melted butter though for the record, soft butter turned out OK though it left the mixture a little lumpy looking!! (but who cares as long as it taste and looks great after baking right??)
