Been down with bad cough the whole weekend plus DH took my camera to use. Don't you find that sometimes things like these which disrupt the normal routine can just jam your entire flow of things?
Over the weekend, Daiso finally opened its long awaited shop! Its been some time that I've had to cover so much ground in such a short time. You see, it all started when I mistakenly thought Daiso was located in Ikano Power. Tracked down to the information desk who told me no such shop located there. Found out instead that it was located at The Curve (next to Borders) but then will only be opened at 11 am instead of the usual 10 am as they have a 'big' opening ceremony. So bumped around MPH and Borders for a whole hour until I suddenly heard some loud drums and clanging - was a little surprised that they used Chinese New Year dragon dance as part of the opening ceremony for a Japanese shop!! The whole ceremony took about 30 min+, by then I was really bored as all I wanted to do was be in the shop rather than having my ears deafened by the noise. Finally, the dragon ate the offerrings and they cut the ribbon and we could go in....went a little mad getting all the bento accessories stuff that I have seen on other fellow bento floggers!
I was very happy, the wait was certainly worth it :) *big grin* Had to walk around to search for things as they were not centrally located. Had to smile when a fellow customer pointed out to me that some of the stuff were 'Made in China'. I added "Yeah, made in china, repacked in Japan and then imported into Msia!!!" Talk about irony huh?
Anyway, enough rant here are some of the weekend bentos.
Bento #36
Dinner bento - I didn't have any accessories with me so I thought of a simple picture, using stir fry bak choy as 'trees' and cut up chinese sausage as the ground. On hindsight should have perhaps added a small animal. Side serve of chicken nuggets.Bento #35
Simple breakfast bento - Jam filled sandwich, fruit loops and some kiwi fruit. A little plain, should have dressed it up a little but think I wasn't in the creative mood then.Bento #34
Dinner bento - Stir fry noodles as the lion mane, fried egg for face served with some pork chops and mini-cocktail sausages.Bento #33
Master Prince has been reminding me how come I haven't been consistently giving him a card with his meals - like that also remember!! I knew he has a good memory, if he wants to put them to good use. I told him that I do not carry the cards with me all the time and hence why he only gets it intermittently!! Poor boy, by the time I am done with the food, no time to look for the card; also forget sometimes ;(
