Only a few creeps sleeps to Halloween (for those counting). I’m actually not a huge fan of this day but the idea of knocking on doors and getting sweet treats sounds SUPER FUN! Also it’s a great chance to box something ghoulish, spooky or in my case, something green!!
Green Frankie here is dyed with natural pandan juice. Its my first time doing this and must say it really beats any artificial colouring!! The pandan smell and flavour was really lovely – almost like eating nasi lemak without the lemak (aka coconut). M reckons the rice taste like seri muka (a local sweet cake), ha ha ha.
Think the orange carrot nose failed to made Frankie here scary and also the smiley supposedly ‘deadly spooky tree’ is another dead giveaway! Lolz The eyes were made of the white parts of taufu or bean curd.

In this bento some rice with stir fried spinach, ginger marinated pork chops, carrots and fish cakes.

Terrific frank!
The Frankie is not scary but chubby & cute! Great idea, javapot, of using pandan juice as coloring, I gotta it next time.
Frankenstein is awesome! So cute with his scar! :D
the pandan rice sounds so fragrant. mmmm! very nice halloween bento.
Tks everyone. If you do get a chance the pandan juice works very well if u are looking for a green frankie :)
