After several desperate searches, delighted to find a packet of mochi *silly grin on the face*.

But with the recent events, it took me more than a month to remind myself I had this stashed somewhere in the cupboard.
Real easy to make. Place the mochi onto pre-heated waffle maker.

Cover and wait patiently for the mochi to cook and flatten out. Couldn't wait any longer so mine's a little pale!! (But this didn't affect the overall taste and texture).
Didn't have any anko or sweet red bean paste. No matter, settled for the next best - some chocolate spread of course!! ;)
It was really good - very light, crispy and crunchy. Taste a little like plain rice crackers.A little plain though without the topping.
*cravings satisfied*

kel: Only hard part was waiting for it to 'cook'! Great snack, do try.
Wished I owned a deeper waffle maker, similar to those thick belgian waffles. Yum yum...come to think, its been a while since we had a waffle party.
