Breakfast bento – Nothing fancy, just food Master Prince enjoys. Pan fried bread with a little butter and jam filling, ham flower roll, some sliced cucumber and strawberries and cereal (fruit loops). How to: Sliced the bread into 2 halves before cutting an oval shape for the cat face. Use excess bread for the ears. Then decorated it with some seaweed for the eyes and whiskers. Used the sides of extra bread for the nose and some cut out carrots and cheese for the flower and ribbon accessories.
Will be submitting this for the competition hosted by Susan (thus the reason for the extra description above). I’m eyeing for a copy of her bento book – hm, wonder if she will also autograph it haha!! Yes, I know wow right – she actually published a book about bentos and from a browse at Amazon it looks very interesting with lots of cool colourful pictures and suggestions on how to prepare bentos for children and well those young at heart!! More importantly the book is in English – would be a nice change finally understand what’s being written rather than just ogling at the pictures or guessing what's been written! Ha ha…wish me luck! For other bento-ers why don’t you join in the fun? Do visit Susan’s site for details and of course more bento ideas and lovely pictures (especially if you are a bento porn like me!! Lolz).
Bento #165
J’s snack bento – Yes, another round of cheese and alfalfa sprouts with knackerbrod crackers (yum!), keeping in line with the ‘cat theme’ of the day.Bento #164
J's Lunch bento – Object was to make a non-kyaraben or non-cutesy bento but I failed, sorry – blame it on greed!! Hm, looking at the picture properly now, should have added at least some dividers/baran or containers to make it look more interesting.

I love how you've been decorating cheese triangles. Super cute!
'J' is your hubby?
Cox I know kids won't want alfafa sprouts! hehheehe
Hi ladies, tks for dropping by. There's actually not much taste in alfalfa sprouts, a good dressing would probably make it taste wonderful. It goes well too with other fillings especially on a crusty bun, yum.
