Breakfast bento – A simple 3-tier jam sandwich (the container is deeper so the normal 2 slices of bread was a little shallow - either that or the bread slices has shrunk!) with a pikachu cheese motif, strawberry and sliced pears. The cheese was quite difficult to handle due to our warmer climate. Recommend some prior preparation first, ie. getting the picture ready etc.On another note, I would like to advise other bento-ers that if you pack cheese, best to use an insulated bag with a cold pack otherwise the cheese becomes a little messy and melted - not a pleasing sight except on pizza, pasta or toasted bread!
Bento #173
Lunch bento – Rice with some pumpkin, broccoli, fish ball, fried chicken and ladies fingers. See what a little bear baran (aka food divider) can do - adds a dimension of appeal to the food (erm, probably expect more reactions from a girl than a boy?)
J’s snack bento – Another pair of triangle duos…this time Ultraman combo. Added some bits of pineapple to the alfalfa sprouts to give it some added sweetness. Yes, not quite tired of the classic cheese and crackers combination yet. Hm, wondering how to add in a glass of red wine and booze this set into a super deluxe bento! Welcome any suggestions ;)
Breakfast bento – Some jam sandwiches, cereal and fresh pineapples.
