Bentos # 65-67

Bento #67

Breakfast bento - First day of school so it was all a rush rush RUSH!! ;)
Simple rolled chocolate bread, some fruit loops as filler, quail egg and some fish shaped jackfruit.

Bento #66

Breakfast bento - This is a relative easy bento to prepare but give a pretty cute effect (if I do say so myself). Buns with cut-out animal shape face with cheese slices, some fruit loops and 'mini' grapes.

Bento #65

Breakfast bento - Jam filled crackers with some fruit loops, endamame and a slice of apple. I didn't have any theme in mind when I made this but it all evolved after cutting out the seaweed shaped car.

Pancakes

....stacks of them!

Master Prince loves pancakes as much as he loves waffles.

He loves to help me prepare the batter and also flip them on the pan.

But what he really loves MOST is eating them with butter and maple syrup!

Needless to say, he can eat quite a fair amount of pancakes (especially since I make them mini-sized!).

Recipe
3 cups plain flour
1.5 tbsp caster sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 tbsp baking powder
3 eggs
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 cup milk
  1. Mix the dry ingredients and set aside.
  2. Whisk the wet ingredients and then add in dry ingredients. Mix until batter is smooth without any lumps.
  3. Heat pan with a little oil or butter. Pour spoonfuls of batter into pan.

  4. As soon as many bubbles appear on the pancake, flip it over and cook for another 2 min or until light golden brown.
  5. Repeat until all the batter is used up.
As a variation, you can add some mashed banana or blueberries into the mixture.

Somehow MP prefers the plain ones best.
