Playing with Pumpkin

Going 'Orange' for the week.

If you had 1 kg of roasted pumpkin puree, what would you do? Any ideas???

Not too sure? Well stick around and I'll proffer some suggestions though I must admit I was scratching my head too!!

Butternut pumpkin is the best if you can get your hands on some as they are very tasty and sweet.

For this, I used a normal local pumpkin. Nothing fancy, just make sure it is ripe. Overheard M complaining how she had 2 pumpkins in the house and didn't have time to use them. Thought I declare an orange week and use them up!! Ha ha

The golden orange squash.

For the roasted pumpkin puree, it is actually quite simple. The hardest thing is probably slicing the pumpkin!! :) A big cleaver is best for the job!

Cut pumpking and remove seeds. Arrange in a baking tray. Drizzle or brush some oil. You can use butter if you wish. Bake for 45-50 min @ 180C until the pumpking flesh is tender and soft. Using a fork, remove and mash the flesh together.

So are you ready for the orange week??

It was ALL GOOD

Recall my earlier rant about Master Prince's studies and tests. Well I am proud to say that his report card came back and here is what he got:

Maths - A
English - A
Chinese - A
Gen. knowledge - A
BM - B

My Dad commented that MP's results were much better than mine when I was his age!! Yes true, but I didn't have so much 'attention' stress and pressure given to me on my studies!! Ha ha Times have certainly changed.

Well DH and I are definitely proud of him and we hope MP is proud of his achievement and will want to keep this up.

Of course as promised, since MP managed to achieve some As he will be rewarded with a Game Boy which comes with Power Ranger games!!!

He is very excited and keeps looking at the pictures and instructions on the box. *sad huh? But you know, he is just happy and excited doing that.* Yes, I think sometimes we are mean parents because MP wasn't allowed to open it until he gets another 2 more stars for one of his other activity which has not shown any movements/improvements for more than 3 months. But the deal was to buy the toy but we didn't specify when he could open it Lolz - we are pretty hard negotiaters aren't we!!!

Well, our intention is to motivate him in the right way, not to deprive him. But you know, we are certainly running low on carrots and ideas!!
