What's your pick?

As you know I'm considering using granite for my dry kitchen counter top. The white base ones that I have seen are too freckled (too many large spots) and most of them are imported from China. Been advised by many not to use China white marbles for the kitchen counter top as they stain easily and go a little yellow over time. The darker coloured granites from China are ok.

Anyway, my search continues....

Here are some possibilities.

Leaning more towards Blue Pearl, Emerald Pearl or Black Galaxy. The grey ones are not too bad too.
If I had my wish, I would prefer cream/ivory with little tiny specks.

Fun Taipei Teacafe @ PJ

Noticed this recently opened cafe and curiosity just got the better of me. Glad they allowed me to bring outside food when I told them of my delima that I wanted to try but MP was more interested in McD instead.

Ordered a set which comes with Taiwan pickled vegetable and fried tau foo. Wasn't too keen on the pickle (will gladly swap it for kimchee anytime) - besides, is Taiwan famous for their pickled vegetables??? Fried tau foo was nice.
Next time I'll just skip the set and order the mains or more side dishes.

Beef noodles that came with the set. Its OK but not the best I've tasted. Soup was addictive but a little salty. Could do with some green vegetables too but that wouldn't be beef noodles would it!! Ha ha

Waiter recommended this fried salty chicken. It was good, even the fried curry leaves.

Good air-con place if you want WIFI, light snacks and bubble tea drinks.
MP really enjoyed the 'pearl's from the bubble tea drink which was reasonably price - regular size cost rm3.50!

Will be back to try their oyster mee sua and fried chicken - wonder if they taste better than Taiwan Shinlin or Bob's Chicken??
