Bento # 12 & 13

Bento #12

Dinner bento - Was thinking fish or goldfish when I made this. Orange fish cut-out made of carrot and the black fish from seaweed served with pan fried fish with garlic (ha ha, just noticed that this fitted in nicely with the 'fish bento box theme') and some green garden vegetables.

Bento #13

Breakfast & snack bento - Since today is Master Prince's final orientation day, thought he could celebrate with a simple 'fairy' Xmas tree bread made with sprinkles. Actually I only discovered 'fairy' breads in Australia in my trip earlier this year. Added some grapes to balance out the meal, rice biscuit and of course not forgetting the all important Ben 10 card (Stinkfly)!!

Master Prince was super excited with the fairy bread - which kid wouldn't especially with so much sprinkles!!! I'm sure he'll be on a sugar high - but then its Friday plus also he has a long day today so he'll definitely need all his energy!

Bento # 10 & 11

Bento #10

Dinner bento - Saw someone else doing this. It looked much easier than what I produced! I’m not sure whether you can ‘see’ it but suppose to be a lion with egg strip mane and cold cut ham for face. Underneath the face is stir fried vermicelli noodles, side serve of stir fry mushroom and minced pork and persimmon fruits for dessert.

Bento #11

Breakfast cum snack bento – Suppose to be a crab, can see or not? Master Prince said ‘No’, much to my disappointment (well we were in a rush this morning, Ha ha). Anyway, crab body is a chocolate spread sandwich with sausage legs, claw. Star cut eyes, cucumber sticks, extra chocolate bread (didn’t want to waste the bread), ham twirl (think I need to work on this), tomato sauce in round container and right at the bottom (in a separate container), some choc chip cookies for dessert.

Master Prince was more interested in the Ben 10 card (4 Arms), hm maybe he is missing my point? Then he got distracted with the eyes which I used jellybeans for the eyes. You can use raisins but since I didn’t have any at hand, I used whatever was available in the pantry!
