Hawai Five-O

If you were of the same era, Hawai Five-O was once a popular action series.

Anyway, I was going to sleep one night and decided to check if the windows were open otherwise the bedroom will get a little stuffy. As I wasn’t wearing my glasses at that point of time, I was wondering through the blur images why our road was so busy with so many cars, not to mention in the middle of the road.

When the 3rd silent flashing car drove up, I realized it was a police car….1 – 2 – 3. What the….something must be up! Woke DH who almost leapt up from the bed after informing him of the 3rd patrol card. Peering through our window, we saw men with riffles running around back of the house. We also ran to the back room to check out the action. Couldn’t see much as the back lanes were locked. Which also meant they couldn’t do or see anything either. So back to the front for more action wondering what was going on.

After a few minutes, as a small crowd gathered, we decided we would investigate too. DH found out that a neighbour had called after hearing someone or sounds on the roof. Cheeky DH enquired mouse or cat or dreaming?? Well after all the drama, it ended as quiet as it began.

3 squad cars and 9 policemen. Talk about heavy patrol!! Must confess my heart was pounding a little, when I saw the policemen running in action with their riffles!!

If I were the thief, I would just lie as low and as long as I can on the roof (probably enjoy the moon lit sky and stars) until the commotion settle down before making my get-a-way!!

The next morning we didn’t hear any gossips so, it must have been a heavy mouse or cat or squirrel.

Anyway, kudos to our policemen for what seemed to be a dull and mundane night!! The neighbourhood slowly settled itself though the night, though somewhat restlessly. Alarms turned ‘ON’.
